Supported ADS versions

• This Design Kit is build for ADS2009, ADS2009U1 on Windows 7 (32 and 64bit). Older versions of ADS are not supported.

Misc

• ADS and MultiLib don't allow spaces in file and directory names. E.g. don't use subdirectories of "C:\program files" !!
  
• This is a SINGLE USER version, do not try to work with two persons at the same time with the same MultiLib Installation.
  
• MultiLib needs a license key. Please contact multilib.support@imst.de to get a free demo key.

Installation

Overview

• Step 1: Install MultiLib Design Kit
• Step 2: Install MultiLib Design Guide
• Step 3: Copy a file
• Step 4: Install License Keys

Step 1: Install Design Kit

• Download multilib_design_kit.zip (ca.60MB)
• Start ADS2009

From the ADS main window menu

• select DesignKit->Install Design Kits
  • Press "Unzip Design Kit Now" button
  • Unzip File : multilib_design_kit.zip (just downloaded)
  • to the users default directory, usually C:\adsusers
  • Press OK and please be patience, this could need few minutes
• Define Design Kit - You can take the defaults
• Select Installation Level - Choose "USER LEVEL" (default)
• Press "OK" to exit Design Kit Setup.

Step 2: Install Design Guide

• Download multilibdg.deb (ca.1MB)

From the ADS main window menu

• Select DesignGuide->Add DesignGuide...
• Choose Global or Personal use
• Select the just downloaded file "multilibdg.deb"

Please exit ADS now.


Step 3: Copy a file

• Download lmgr11.dll file
• Open the Windows Explorer
• Move the downloaded lmgr11.dll file into C:\ADS2009\bin
• Close Windows Explorer

Step 4: Install License Keys

• Please contact multilib.support@imst.de for a license key.

Getting Started

• There is an example for every MultiLib element in the MultiLib Design Guide.

Open an ADS Project

• In your Schematic window: Select DesignGuide -> MultiLib Design Guide
  and choose one of the examples.

• You get the online-manual from an ADS Schematic by: Double click on a MultiLib element -> press "Help" Button.
• Movies to get started:
• New: How to create a stripline download stripline movie (17MB) .
• New: Add losses to the above stripline download striplinelossy movie (9MB) .
• New: How to create an inductor download inductor1 movie (40MB) .
